Do you ever struggle with what to wear for your senior session? It’s a lot of pressure isn’t it…deciding on outfits that will forever tie you to this time in your life. It’s probably one of the biggest concerns of high school seniors next to where and when the session will take place. One of the questions I ask in the senior questionnaire you receive is “Which of these styles would best describe you: Pretty Preppy, Boho Girl, Country Charm, Urban Hipster, Senior Glam, Casual Chic or Other.” You will most likely choose more than one and that’s great because it means you will have variety in your images and reflect the different sides of your personality…and that’s why we’re doing this isn’t it? To capture what makes you, YOU!
Now, that being said, I want to give you permission just to relax…don’t put so much pressure on yourself to choose the PERFECT outfit. You’re not alone in this process, just bring several options and I will help you choose pieces that photograph well, flatter your beautiful self and match them to locations that let their style and colors shine! The outfits we landed on for Maci’s session ranged from Country Charm to Boho Girl to Simply Sporty. “Hey, I didn’t see that last one on the list,” that’s what the “Other” category is for…any style that you want to add. After all, this session is all about YOU! After you finish reading Macie’s story, leave a comment below and let me know what style category you’d select for your session! Mine would probably be “Casual Chic” & “wish I was younger, LOL!”
I’m looking forward to getting to spend one more year with the people I’ve grown up with, before we all leave for college.
My favorite memory of high school is going to all of the dances with my friends and just dancing crazy. It’s fun to get all dressed up for a special night!
I would encourage them to be involved in as much things as possible. Going to games and being in the student section is one of the best parts of high school, so don’t miss out on all the events!
I am so proud that I completed the Dale Carnegie Training this past summer. It helped me grow in my confidence and better understand those around me. It was one of the best experiences of my high school career!
I always try to set a good example for those around me and for the younger kids that look up to us.
I think that in selecting a photographer, you should choose someone that makes you feel comfortable. It’s way more fun that way!
I think, as most seniors, that I was worried most about not knowing how to pose and looking awkward!
It was so fun to be able to express my different interests through the outfits and accessories we chose for my senior photo experience!
